Sang pemimpi is a 2009 Indonesian film, adapted from the novel Laskar Pelangi second tetralogy,
The Dreamer, by Andrea Hirata. The film was directed by Riri Riza, with producer Mira Lesmana.
Planned to begin shooting in the Pacific Islands (Belitong, in the local language) on July 1, 2009 and scheduled for completion on August 21, 2009, and will be conducted at several locations in Manggar, Tanjung Pandan, Jakarta and Bogor. The film is scheduled to be aired in theaters in Indonesia began December 17, 2009.
Sang pemimpi also will be the opening film in the Jakarta International Film Festival (JiFFest)
2009 on December 4, 2009, 4-Bang and became the first Indonesian film to pave JiFFest since the first in 1999.

This film considered as the best-selling films Indonesia second in 2009
with 1.9 million people the number of spectators.
